Shri Hemkund Sahib

Attain peace of mind at Shri Hemkund Sahib, aSikh Gurudwara nestled beside a high-altitude dazzling lake largely known as Hemkund, whose literal meaning is “Lake of Snow”. 

Lakshman Temple

The Lakshman temple is situated on the bank of the Hemkund Lake. This temple is dedicated to Lakshman ji, younger brother of Shri Ram. It is believed that Lakshman contemplated here before his fight with Indrajit at Lanka, & after that Lakshman executed Indrajit. 

Pushpawati River 

A small tributary of Pushpawati River originates from Tipra Glacier from Guri Parbat & flows through the Valley of Flowers alongside the snow-clad mountains, the cliffs, glaciers, the waterfalls & thrilling beauty. Also the confluence of Hemganga & Pushpawati River, earlier known as Lakshmanganga.   

Valley of flower itinerary

Day 1 Rishikesh to Joshimath/ Govind Ghat

Arrival at Rishikesh, embark on a scenic drive to Joshimath. Witness here the picturesque view of the confluence of the Ganga River in Devprayag.

Day 2 Joshimath to Pulna via Ghangaria

After driving through the majestic view of Garhwal Himalayan, we begin our day to the trek of Ghangaria, where the Pushpawati River keeps you company throughout.

Day 3 Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers, back to Ghangaria 

Head towards the Valley of Flowers, admire the natural beauty of this place while walking on trails with colorful exotic flowers, & trek down to Ghangaria.

Day 4 Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib, back to Ghangaria

Head towards the world’s highest Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib. Don’t forget to take a holy dip into the freezing lake. Overnight stay at Ghangaria. 

Day 5 Ghangaria to Joshimath/ Govind Ghat

Descend down through the narrow stone-paned trail from Ghangaria to Pulna, which goes along the river Lakshman Ganga. Wandering in the meadows, & drive back to Joshimath.

Day 6 Joshimath to Rishikesh

Enjoy the scenic drive back from Joshimath while reminiscing about the magical views of the trip.
