We start our day by departing from Rishikesh to Guptkashi. Most of the journey will be along the banks of Ganges. Guptkashi is situated at an altitude of 4327ft. Throughout the journey we will have sufficient food breaks so that we can enjoy the most welcoming beverage of Uttarakhand i.e. “tea” and most commonly consumed “Maggie”. Though you will be getting other types of food too, but the tea-maggie combination goes just perfect with the place. Along the national highway 58 you shall witness the most famous and beautiful wonders i.e. the Prayags. Prayag means confluence of two rivers. At first you shall witness the beauty of nature at Devprayag, which is the confluence of two rivers namely Bhagirathi and Alaknanda which then transcends into The Ganga. Then through the amazing roads of Srinagar we shall witness the second prayag i.e Rudraprayag, which is the confluence of two rivers namely Mandakini and Alaknanda. Then starts the Kedar Valley and nature won’t stop amazing you throughout the journey. After this whole day long journey, we shall rest at a pleasant resort in the Kedar Valley from there you have a beautiful view of chaukamba peak.

The day will start with a delicious breakfast, followed by a 30 kms drive to Gauri kund. Then trek begins the journey to Kedranath from the foot of the respective mountain. It is almost a 16 kms hike from gauri kund as you can expect to be at the top by evening. Earlier the route followed was from Rambara, it was a well developed, well fenced and a facilitated trek route. However the Gov has now changed the trek Route of Kedarnath after the 2013 disaster as the old trek route to Kedarnath was completely erased. Trek which requires a good level of physical fitness. Before going for the trek every pilgrim has to get themselves checked whether you are capable of trekking or not. You make either hike it all the way up or take other means like hiring pony/palkhi.Throughout the journey the guide will be telling you the stories of the places you’ll be crossing and thus making the trip worth the experience.
